Over recent years PROVECTA has been successful in obtaining significant work with Queensland based customers. In order to improve our service for our Queensland customers PROVECTA opened its Queensland branch for operations on the 1st February 2010. The Queensland office is conveniently located close to the Brisbane CBD at Level 2, 35 Astor Terrace, Spring Hill. 
The Queensland branch business will offer process control and industrial automation solutions, electrical engineering services, and systems integration management, with an emphasis in power generation and related industries in the same manner as PROVECTA’s highly successful operations in NSW. The Queensland office will integrate and utilise resources of the entire PROVECTA business whilst also providing local engineering expertise for our customers. Neil has joined PROVECTA from a role as Project Manager for a significant controls and instrumentation upgrade at a utility power station in Australia. Neil is an electrical engineer with over 18 years experience and expertise in the management, design, implementation, operation and commissioning of process control, protection, monitoring and electrical systems in the energy and minerals processing industries. Neil has extensive project management experience as well as demonstrated hands-on control and protection system operations and maintenance expertise. PROVECTA’s Queensland office will also become the lead centre for a new range of services to be offered to customers in power station operations support and asset management solutions. These services will be initially provided by Mr Bruce Smith who has joined us from a commissioning role as Operations Engineering Supervisor for a large greenfield power station construction project in the United States. Bruce is an operations engineering specialist with over 17 years operations, asset management, maintenance and commissioning experience in the energy industry, in Australia and the US. Bruce has demonstrated expertise in plant operation and performance analysis as well as the development of cost effective operational and control solutions. Bruce also has extensive commissioning planning and co-ordination experience including supervision of operation/production staff during commissioning.
