PROVECTA has
been awarded the contract to provide Tarong Energy with Engineering support for the potential DCS upgrade of their 4 x 350MW coal fired Tarong Power Station in Queensland. Work to be undertaken includes a Risk Benefit Analysis, benchmarking of the existing controls and plant performance, review of the process protection system Safety Integrity Level (SIL) requirements, review of potential upgrade strategies, and preparation of the specification. Future work will include ongoing support to Tarong Energy Corporation during the tender and implementation phases of the project.
