PROVECTA has been engaged by the Bechtel Power Corporation to provide specialist engineering consultancy for advice on modulating control concepts and configuration, commissioning and tuning programs for the expansion of the existing Oak Creek Power Plant at Wisconsin in the United States. The 2 x 667MW Super-critical once-through units are to be know as the Elm Road Generating Station. Bechtel Power Corporation is the EPC contractor for Wisconsin Electric Power Company (WEPCO) with Hitachi America the suppliers of the boiler and steam-generator units. The first unit is planned for commercial operation in early 2009.
