After a number of years of providing highly specialised advanced control solutions to overseas electricity generation customers, predominately in the US, we are please to announce the formal establishment Provecta Process Automation LLC, and the opening of our office in Chicago, Illinois. Our office was first officially opened on the 12th April and is located at 1603 Orrington Ave Evanston, IL 60201.
As President, Don Parker will lead our operations in the US. Don is an internationally renowned expert in the field of complex modulating and co-ordinated control systems for power stations. Don leverages over thirty five years of experience in power plant control systems design, and commissioning including the use of advanced control strategies, benchmarking and tuning. Don has spent the last 12 months living in Chicago in preparation for the establishment of our US office.
Don is joined in our Chicago office by Neil Ronan. Neil brings in excess of 25 years of practical experience and expertise to the management, design, implementation, operation and commissioning of process control, process protection, monitoring and electrical systems in the energy and minerals processing industries.
Provecta is currently undertaking projects with the following power generation clients in the US;
- LG&E and KU Energy LLC – Trimble County and Ghent Power Stations
- We Energies – Elm Rd Power Station
- Prairie State Generating Company – Prairie State Power Station
- Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)
