BESS SCADA System
The Iberdrola Smithfield BESS SCADA System provides a modern cyber-secure integrated control and monitoring platform for Iberdrola Australia’s new 65 MW / 2 hour Battery Energy Storage System at the Smithfield Energy Facility. The system manages 36 Tesla Megapack 2 XL units along with the site’s switchroom and 33 kV switchgear. Provecta delivered the complete OT platform and SCADA detailed design, drawings, configuration, factory acceptance testing and site commissioning.
In addition to design and configuration of network infrastructure and implementation of the SCADA system, Provecta’s scope included design of a dispatch system to allow for AGC and MMS remote dispatch for active and reactive power. This included design and implementation works for interfacing between AEMO’s systems and Tesla’s site controller.
