Following graduation in 1991 from the University of Sydney with an honours degree in Electrical Engineering, David commenced his career working in the field of protection design for high voltage transmission networks. His process control system career began in 1993 with a four year period as an on-site control systems engineer at Wallerawang Power Station. David now has over twenty five of years of experience in all facets of process control system design, installation, and commissioning of various vendors of PLC, RTU, SCADA and DCS equipment.
Within Provecta, David performs the role of Engineering & Operations Manager where he is responsible for overall project delivery, staff professional development, and resource assignment. As Engineering & Operations Manager, David also provides project management assistance and advice to individual project managers.
David completed his Masters of Engineering Management degree at the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1997. He has expertise in the management and delivery of process control system design and construct projects, ranging from small upgrades to large multi-million dollar greenfield or brownfield projects. David is able to use this expertise to provide consultancy services advising clients on control system projects ranging from alarm management issues, concept design studies, due diligence reports, specification writing, and project budget estimates. David is an accomplished training services provider having prepared and delivered control system related training courses for numerous clients in Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.
