Matthew has more than 20 years of experience in power generation and process industries in Australia and overseas allowing him to provide specialist engineering services in the area of advanced control strategies for plant co-ordination, steam temperature control, and turbo-governor control.  During his career Matthew has obtained significant expertise in the design, configuration, commissioning and tuning of DCS systems of many vendors including Yokogawa Centum VP, Yokogawa Prosafe RS, Siemens T3000, Emerson Ovation and Delta V SIS.

Internationally, Matthew was the DCS Commissioning Engineer for the Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant No. 2 located in Northern Vietnam.  He also was the Start-up tuning engineer for Taichung Power Station Units 9/10 in Taiwan, as well as performing the role of Engineering Manager for Emerson Power & Water Solutions in the Middle East.

Matthew has been responsible for managing the process control engineering for large distributed control system projects for various types of power and process plants. He also has extensive knowledge of NFPA 85, IEC61511 and 61508 codes and guidelines and has formal Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) qualifications.
