David graduated with Honours in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney in 1991. He commenced his career in high-voltage transmission network protection design before transitioning to process control and instrumentation systems in 1993, where he spent four years as an on-site Control Systems Engineer at Wallerawang Power Station.
With more than 30 years of industry experience, David has extensive expertise in the design, installation, and commissioning of process control systems across a wide range of PLC, RTU, SCADA, and DCS platforms.
As Engineering & Operations Manager at Provecta, David is responsible for overseeing project delivery, staff development, and resource allocation. He also provides project management support and strategic advice to project managers and clients.
David completed a Master of Engineering Management at the University of Technology Sydney in 1997. He specialises in the management and delivery of process control system projects ranging from small-scale upgrades to major multi-million-dollar greenfield and brownfield developments.
His consulting expertise includes alarm management, concept design, due diligence assessments, specification development, budget estimation, and CHAZOP facilitation. David is also an accomplished trainer who has developed and delivered control systems training programs for clients across Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.
