Neil joined Provecta in 2010 with the task of setting up and managing our Queensland office. As the Queensland Manager, Neil was responsible for the development of the Queensland business, mentoring of staff, and contributing to the growth of the overall Provecta Business through the consolidation and successful execution of existing Queensland projects and winning of other significant projects.

In May 2017 Neil relocated to Chicago, Illinois, to support Don Parker in our expanding US operations. Neil brings in excess of 25 years of practical experience and expertise to the management, design, implementation, operation and commissioning of process control, process protection, monitoring and electrical systems in the energy and minerals processing industries. Neil combines the skills of a technical specialist and accomplished commercial project manager to assist his clients deliver complex large scale projects.

With an interest and flair for safety instrumented systems, Neil achieved his Certified Functional Safety Expert competency in 2011 and continues to offer high level services in this area. Neil also has formal qualifications in the classification and application of control system solutions to Hazardous Areas.

Prior to working with Provecta, Neil had a wide and varied career within the process control system industry. Neil commenced his career with the Electricity Commission of NSW spending 9 years working at the Alcan Gove Alumina Refinery in the Northern Territory, climbing to the role of Chief Control System Engineer. He then moved to Queensland as the Control Systems Team Leader at Tarong Power Station, successfully managing a $50M project for the provision of an upgraded control system for the plant’s 4 x 350MW boiler and turbo-generator units.
