Phil has over twenty years of experience in all aspects of the design, implementation and commissioning of control systems and electrical distribution systems for industrial applications.
With a strong background in the design of LV and MV electrical systems design, Phil heads up Provecta’s Energy Solutions division – see www.provectaenergysolutions.com.au. Together with his team, Phil provides services to our clients in the areas of energy monitoring system design and implementation, energy audits and energy data analysis, power metering equipment supply, power quality monitoring, emergency backup generators, and load shedding.
Phil has provided significant consulting services within the NSW water industry. These services have primarily been providing Owners Engineering Services to State Water (now Water NSW) with regard to their state wide iSMART automation upgrade projects. Phil’s expertise was utilised to assist with the preparation of RFT documents, tender assessment, contract consolidation, and contract management. In addition, Phil has provided expert technical advice in the selection of technology platforms (PLC’s, RTU’s and HMI’s), standards development, and in the integration of the iSMART system with the state wide CARM system to manage river water flows.
Through the successful completion of a number of high profile control system upgrade projects Phil has also developed significant capabilities as a specialist design engineer in the area of control system field interfaces, cable design, workscope preparation, and auto-synchronising systems.
